What we do, and what we leave to the crew

We answer the phone and the quote form, take down the details of the job, and send them to a single tree crew that covers your town. From there the crew contacts you, looks at the tree, and prices the work. Any quote, contract, schedule and payment is between you and that crew.

We do not climb, cut, grind or haul, and we do not give an on-site opinion about your tree. Before you hire anyone, including a crew we send, ask for a written quote and proof of liability and workers' compensation coverage. Our checklist for choosing a tree service lists the questions to ask.

What it costs you

Nothing. Our service is free for homeowners. We do not charge you, we do not add a fee to your quote, and we do not sell your details to a list of companies. Your request goes to one crew, and you pay only for tree work you decide to have done.

How we research and check facts

Tree work touches local law, insurance and safety, so we hold the pages on this site to a few plain rules.

• Local rules come from the official page. Permit thresholds, protected trees and yard waste rules are checked against the city, town, county or state source, and that source is linked in the Sources box on the page. Where we could not confirm a rule, the page says to check with the city or town instead of guessing.
• Prices are published estimates, with the publisher named. Figures such as those in our tree removal price guide are quoted from named cost guides. They are not our prices and they are not offers. Only the crew that sees your tree can quote it.
• Tree care advice follows extension and industry guidance. Pruning and storm advice is drawn from N.C. Cooperative Extension, NC State Extension and similar public sources, and is credited to them.
• Every page shows when its facts were last checked. Rules and prices change. The date under each page title is the last time we checked that page against its sources. This page was last checked on 2026-10-02.
• No invented praise. We do not publish made-up testimonials or star scores, and we do not claim credentials we cannot show.
